2024 Pinot Noir Rosé, Anderson Valley
Despite its easy-drinking nature, making a good rosé is not an easy task and is an annual challenge for winemaker Sarah. The process starts at the Monty In Vineyard, where Sarah has to identify the almost-ripe grapes from a few select rows. Once the grapes are at the crush pad, she balances color and mouthfeel by determining the time on the skins before pressing. The skins were in contact for less than one hour for this vintage. The wine has a strawberry aroma and energizing flavors of blood orange and red currant, accentuating its signature Pinot Noir fullness and mid-palate acidity.
