2022 Rosé of Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley
Certain vintages of Rosé have a color that equally matches its nature and this one is a bright, delicate cerise with a rose-pink undertone and length — similar to a ballerina twirling in a pink tutu. Like the dancer, Rosé wine is a constant balancing act that winemaker Sarah takes great care of with each step. The dance begins in the vineyard, by picking en pointe ripeness, and then once in the winery, she jetés between color and mouthfeel by selecting the amount of time on the skins before pressing. It’s not as easy as it drinks! Commingling florals of honeysuckle and wild plum accentuate its refreshing, signature Pinot Noir fullness and mid-palate acidity. With eyes closed it could be a Daiquiri fraise after a post-plié workout.
