2016 Almittey Brut, Anderson Valley
This expressive reserve sparkling wine was made to surprise your senses with joy as well as delight your palate with its rich complexity. Squirreling away this estate Brut for an additional 7 years of aging sur latte was a test of patience but, tried and true, its flavor became bigger and bolder. The fine bubbles are delicate and creamy, and the taste is intricate, boasting notes of hazelnut shortbread, apple, and frangipane mingled with the zestiness of fresh ginger. It has a refined acidity that culminates in a smooth and velvety finish. With aged versatility, this sparkler makes a friendly pairing with most savory dishes and an exceptional match when sipped with a nibble of our nutty, aged Boont Corners Reserve. Since Almittey was intentionally reserved to be bold, we recommend toasting loudly no matter the occasion; this will add the extra- to the -ordinary. A bubbling explosion rising in your sparkling flute will justify an Almittey!
