2020 Pinot Noir, Jeansheep Vineyard, Anderson Valley
LIMITED RELEASE |
On warm August days, the Jeansheep Vineyard is aromatized by a mixture of Valley Oaks and Bay Laurel trees along Bollie’s Creek. Located on the North West side of our estate vineyard, it is often the coolest of our Pinot Noir blocks because of the coastal winds that blow through in the afternoon and its relatively richer soils produce a slightly thicker canopy, thus providing more shade to the fruit. With the degree-lowering shade and less sun, this fruit-concentrated vintage has a rich Santa Rosa plum flavor spiced with cardamom and a summer forest nose. With a structure built like a ram, we love giving this one an extra swirl in the glass before full enjoyment.
