2010 Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley
Pennyroyal Farm’s first vintage is a nod to our family’s tried’n’true custom of making distinct Anderson Valley wines. Remarking how well this Pinot Noir drinks at full maturity is also a pat on daughter/winemaker Sarah’s back for an early success in experimenting with an extended oak-aging regime—now our primary method with our reserve vintages like Jeansheep Vineyard. With its silky tannins, hint of toast, and wonderful aromas of peppercorn, it will pair elegantly with our aged cheeses, rack of lamb or prime rib. It’s a wine that honors tradition at the table!
